From New Age to Great Age
In what we called The New Age, we began to mix and match beliefs, and could take the best parts of any spiritual, religious or philosophic belief system(s) to find our own version of the truth, guided by the voice within, the spirit, the soul. And now comes The Great Age, when science begins the exciting process of validating some of the more unifying ideas and concepts about the nature of reality, both manifest and unmanifest, which spiritual belief systems have asserted for thousands of years. Even the major religions have, at their mystical core, some of the more ecumenically appealing, pantheistic ideas of cosmology and creation that seem to be squaring off with the new science. Although the major religions certainly do seem to need an overhaul, a reformation to discard old dogma and out-dated ideas. In this Great Age,in light of our new understanding of the physics of consciousness, the spiritual belief systems that address the multi-dimensional nature of reality, our interconnection and oneness, and how our vibrational energy and intention affect the fabric of reality itself, will be the ones that pass the test of scientific validation. "We can ignore mystics and spiritualists who try to wake us up. Are we going to ignore our revered scientists, physicists, and thinkers also? It is your decision. The experimenter influences every experiment. The creator of the experience and the intention of the creator influences every experience. You and I are the creators of all the experiences that ever happen in this ongoing process of life. What is going on out there is totally dependent upon what in going on in here. When what is going on in here is based in love and awareness, we will change the world, as we know it. What a beautiful, extraordinary concept. When you take it to heart, you understand more fully why you are so important to the world right now. You are the one who brings the love and change the world so desperately needs". Richard Blackstone Swami’s & Scientists The parallels between science and spirituality are now becoming clearer, thanks to new discoveries about what exists or occurs at the quantum level of our reality. The words and ideas of ancient spiritual mystics and scientists, regarding the cosmology of creation, are starting to sound similar. Is Everything a "Black Whole"? As mentioned, in recent times, interesting ideas have emerged, like those of Nassim Haramein, who co-wrote the Haramein-Rauscher metric, which revealed that "empty space produces the world". This idea is captured in his recent video: "Everything is a Black Whole". His work in physics asserts not only that the "something" of matter has clearly been shown to be emanating from nothing, but that there is evidence of a "something to the nothing". That what we perceive as empty space is emanating from an unseen source of manifest creation, and that our world could be but a reflection of higher dimensions that exist beyond the physical. One Big Thought? John Hagelin, Phd, professor of Physics at Maharishi University, implies that this underlying fabric of the universe is intelligent, or conscious: “What we have discovered at the core basis of the universe is a single universal field of intelligence that unites gravity with electromagnetism, light with radioactivity and the nuclear force. All the particles and forces of nature are all ripples on the same ocean of existence in the unified field or Quantum Superstring. All matter arises from this field of infinite possibility, from pure abstract potential. Our consciousness is composed of the vibrational waves in this unified field, which means all life is fundamentally one, as it arises from the same source. This reveals that the self is universal, which is the very definition of enlightenment”. Hagelin explains that Quantum Superstring Theory assumes that at least 11 dimensions of reality exist, most of which lie beyond what can be detected or measured here in our 3 dimensional reality. As these unseen dimensions are believed to forming our reality, the parallels between what scientist are saying about the ultimate source of creation, and what saints, sages, swami’s and shamans have said over the centuries, especially in regard to the planes, or vibrational and dimensional levels, does start to sound very similar. Communication beyond Space and Time? Physicist Dr Amit Goswami, from the University of Oregon, echoes the same theme as Dr Hagelin, per his quote: “Consciousness is the very ground of being” Dr Goswami’s goal is to discover how consciousness creates the material world, he believes: “the existence of God is being revealed in the signature of Quantum Physics” and that: “Quantum Physics says every object is a possibility, so there has to be a non-material entity that chooses the actual event from the process of these possibilities". Goswani also asserts that that the universe emanates from consciousness, which is why he calls himself a Quantum Activist, per his quote: When we change ourselves, we change the world simultaneously.” Goswami urges us to re-examine our reductionist materialist, empiricism, which has really only been around for the last 5 to 6 decades. He points out that before materialism, we had dualism, where mind and matter were one. Within the latest theories of modern Quantum Physics, mind and matter are once again connected. And, like in centuries before, that unseen, potentially spiritual forces were integral to our cosmology. Goswami talks about the science within consciousness, and how the paradigm is shifting from a materialistic world view into one that incorporates spirituality and the mystic traditions. In Quantum Physical Theory, there is the concept of a non-local, signal-less communication outside of space & time, which Goswami believes could be being moderated by consciousness: “This relates to religious notions of God, as it is positive and life affirming. The materialist viewpoint tends to be pessimistic, and doesn't find value or meaning in the world..........As you become a connoisseur of consciousness, you begin to see that we are more than just our material bodies. That we have a vital body that we feel, and it is the coupling of this vital energy with the physical organ, that is what gives us vitality, when this coupling is weakened, that's when we fall sick" Goswami foresees humankind evolving over the next centuries, integrating emotions and thought in a more balanced way. People will learn how to harness the energies of love, and access more of the intuitive mind, he said. He believes the totality of anomalous data, rejected by materialistic science adds up to something that can be explained by the cosmology expressed in the ancient Hindu texts he has studied in his life. Sacred Geometry & The Divine Matrix"A matrix of electromagnetic circuitry connects and energizes manifest creation in one unified body of harmonic resonance. Our blood contains the same divine essence and molecular alchemy as the rivers that run to the sea, our bones are made of the same elemental components as the ancient stone monoliths that silently witness the passing of ages. We are continually exchanging a data flow of source intelligence, with the body of earth, and every form of life within her embrace, and every nuance of celestial diffusion, within our solar system, influences our individual and collective field of consciousness, as circuits of electromagnetic exchange bind us together as one living ocean of psychosensory co-creative space time coordinates within the unified field. We are the amalgamation of various visible and invisible energy systems that together generates the human hologram.

Consciousness & The Absolute - Nisargadatta Maharaj
Maharaj: The person is merely the result of a misunderstanding.
In reality, there is no such thing. Feelings, thoughts and actions race before the watcher in endless succession, leaving traces in the brain and creating an illusion of continuity. A reflection of the watcher in the mind creates the sense of ‘I’ and the person acquires an apparently independent existence. In reality there is no person, only the watcher identifying himself with the ‘I’ and the ‘mine’. The teacher tells the watcher: you are not this, there is nothing of yours in this, except the little point of ‘I am’, which is the bridge between the watcher and his dream. ‘I am this, I am that’ is dream, while pure ‘I am’ has the stamp of reality on it. You have tasted so many things — all came to naught. Only the sense ‘I am’ persisted — unchanged. Stay with the changeless among the changeful, until you are able to go beyond. Questioner: When will it happen? Maharaj: It will happen as soon as you remove the obstacles. Questioner: Which obstacles? Maharaj: Desire for the false and fear of the true. You, as the person, imagine that the Guru is interested in you as a person. Not at all. To him you are a nuisance and a hindrance to be done away with. He actually aims at your elimination as a factor in consciousness. Questioner: If I am eliminated, what will remain? Maharaj: Nothing will remain, all will remain. The sense of identity will remain, but no longer identification with a particular body. Being — awareness love will shine in full splendour. LIBERATION IS NEVER OF THE PERSON, IT IS ALWAYS FROM THE PERSON. Questioner: And no trace remains of the person? Maharaj: A vague memory remains, like the memory of a dream, or early childhood. After all, what is there to remember? A flow of events, mostly accidental and meaningless. A sequence of desires and fears and inane blunders. Is there anything worth remembering? The person is but a shell imprisoning you. Break the shell. Questioner: Whom are you asking to break the shell? Who is to break the shell? Maharaj: Break the bonds of memory and self-identification and the shell will break by itself. There is a centre that imparts reality to whatever it perceives. All you need is to understand that you are the source of reality, that you give reality instead of getting it, that you need no support and no confirmation. Things are as they are, because you accept them as they are. Stop accepting them and they will dissolve. Whatever you think about with desire or fear appears before you as real. Look at it without desire or fear and it does lose substance. Pleasure and pain are momentary. It is simpler and easier to disregard them than to act on them. - Talks with Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj Shri Manoj Sethi ji - posted by: Mukul Anindya Mishra |
Questioner: Why is it that we naturally seem to think of ourselves as separate individuals?
Maharaj: Your thoughts about individuality are really not your own thoughts; they are all collective thoughts. You think that you are the one who has the thoughts; in fact thoughts arise in consciousness. As our spiritual knowledge grows, our identification with an individual body-mind diminishes, and our consciousness expands into universal consciousness. The life force continues to act, but its thoughts and actions are no longer limited to an individual. They become the total manifestation. It is like the action of the wind - the wind doesn't blow for any particular individual, but for the total manifestation. Questioner: As an individual can we go back to the source? Maharaj: Not as an individual; the knowledge "I Am" must go back to its own source. Now, consciousness has identified with a form. Later, it understands that it is not that form and goes further. In a few cases it may reach the space, and very often, there it stops. In a very few cases, it reaches its real source, beyond all conditioning. It is difficult to give up that inclination of identifying the body as the self. I am not talking to an individual, I am talking to the consciousness. It is consciousness which must seek its source. Out of that no-being state comes the beingness. It comes as quietly as twilight, with just a feel of "I Am" and then suddenly the space is there. In the space, movement starts with the air, the fire, the water, and the earth. All these five elements are you only. Out of your consciousness all this has happened. There is no individual. There is only you, the total functioning is you, the consciousness is you. You are the consciousness, all the titles of the Gods are your names, but by clinging to the body you hand yourself over to time and death—you are imposing it on yourself. I am the total universe. When I am the total universe I am in need of nothing because I am everything. But I cramped myself into a small thing, a body; I made myself a fragment and became needful. I need so many things as a body. In the absence of a body, do you, and did you, exist? Are you, and were you, there or not? Attain that state which is and was prior to the body. Your true nature is open and free, but you cover it up, you give it various designs. - Consciousness and the Absolute. The final Talks with Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj.
